Criminally insane or criminally a genius?!?!

6:12 am Hospital, News, Psychiatry, Psychotropic drugs, Ranting

I wasn’t planning to post this because it shows complete stupidity from both the criminal justice and psychatry. Psychiatry is doing one heck of a fine job into controlling our criminal justice with this insanity plea crap that people can choose to take to escape justice and prison time. This case reminds me so much like the movie, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest  (NOTE: SPOILER! SPOILER!)

with Jack Nicholson as Randle Patrick (R. P.) “Mac” McMurphy and Louise Fletcher as Nurse Mildred Ratched, the dictator who drove one of her patients to commit suicide. I don’t condone psychiatric medications to anyone but of all people, in her case she could use a couple of xanax or maybe some anti psychotics to help relax.

Middletown (WTNH) _ A career criminal has escaped a third time from the state’s maximum security pyschiatric hospital and is still on the run Tuesday night.

Roy Sastrom is serving a 40-year sentence at Connecticut Valley Hospital for burglary and larceny convictions. The hospital says he went missing Saturday while on a pass, allowing him to walk alone on the Middletown hospital grounds.

“I think they should keep more of an eye on them if they’re going to give them a ground pass,” Middletown Mayor Sebastian Giuliano said.

Sastrom stole a van from the Connecticut Hospital. That van was located in Maine, where police suspect he burglarized two homes.

Instead of sending Roy Sastrom to prison they sent him to a state’s maximum security psychiatric hospital for 40 years for the crimes that he was convicted of. This is what happens when you allow psychatry to handle criminal cases.

I think after fooling everybody I think Mr. Sastrom deserves to be called Dr. Sastrom instead of Mr. Sastrom. I’m sure they can find him fishing for bass in the lake if they try hard enough.
