On September 14th 2008 roughly around 5:23PM EST I was watching my local news, Channel 7 News Fox WSVN-TV, when a subject called “Defeat Depression” came to my interests. It showed an obese teenager named David Harvey playing a wrestling game at the beginning of the report and then it continues on as it shows him and his mother, Jeri Jashnoff, playing a cardboard game, sorry! (ironically). To make the story run short it explains that David’s mother losing her job in real estate from the bad economy and how worry some the teenager becomes after finding out that he can no longer get what he wants anymore because of the tight budget. Because his mother couldn’t afford the dangerous psychotropic drugs from her job lost she took him to a research facility called Segal Institute For Clinical Research where people get paid to become guinea pigs and take experimental drugs that hasn’t yet been approved by the FDA.
Richard Lemus interviewed the atrocious Psychiatrist, Dr. Scott Segal the owner of the Segal Institute for Clinical Research and has said:
Dr. Scott Segal, Psychiatrist, Segal Institute for Clinical Research: “It’s definitely making adults depressed, and therefore the children depressed, as well. However, they have less money to spend on treatments, and these days insurance companies have higher co-payments and it’s very difficult for people to come in.”
Even scarier, it’s hard for patients or their families to pay for the medications they so desperately need.
Dr. Scott Segal: “They get their visits and their evaluations and whatever is needed in the study for free, as well as medications. In fact, in research studies, the treatment is above the normal level of care.”
Patients will often try out new drugs that aren’t on the market yet and many times they can stay on that medication after the study is over.
Dr. Scott Segal: “In many studies, after the study is over, the pharmaceutical company will give them a compassionate care and allow them take the medications for a period of time.”
David is on a new medication and sees a doctor weekly. He and his mom have high hopes for the future.
What Richard Lemus and the Channel 7 News Fox WSVN-TV fail to revel to the public is that theirs other ways to defeat depression without the usage of the dangerous drugs. It’s called proper diet, exercise and proper outdoor activities like going to the beach or going to a park. In the whole segment of the story reported by Richard Lemus nowhere did it mention natural ways to deal with depression.

I guess Janssen ’s Haldol and Risperdal doesn’t truly cure schizophrenia after all so they need to create more phony drugs to beguile the public into believing that they have a cure for their so called mental illnesses. Get ready for more drug commercials advertisements in the future folks!
Jan 9 (Reuters) – Vanderbilt University will team up with Johnson & Johnson to develop new drugs to treat schizophrenia, according to a media report.
The Tennessee university will receive about $10 million from J&J over the next three years, plus as much as $100 million in additional payments if it meets certain research milestones, the Wall Street Journal said.
The deal is scheduled to be announced Friday, the paper said.

This psychiatrist must have pissed off someone, either it be Zeus or the famous Mortal combat character Raiden.
Maybe He pissed off one of his electroshock therapy patient, who managed to develop special lightning bolt powers after the result of being shocked so many times?
Rob Ryser |The Journal News
HARTSDALE – A lightning bolt smashed through the roof of a psychiatrist’s home and started a fire last night that destroyed the third floor, the fire department said.
The psychiatrist, Dr. Elon Schwartz, and his family got out of the home at 6 Sunset Lane as soon as they heard the bolt strike the house and saw the second floor filling with smoke.A Hartsdale firefighter who was putting water on the flames inside suffered a minor foot injury.
“He was on the interior attack,” Hartsdale Deputy Fire Chief F. J. Spinelli said. “He either slipped or fell.”
The firefighter was treated at White Plains Hospital Center. His name was not released.
Firefigthters were able to save family valuables and the records of Schwartz’s practice, which he conducted out of the home.
But the fire caused extensive damage to the 105-year-old structure, described by Spinelli as a center hall Colonial.
Firefighters rushed to the 11:10 p.m. emergency after getting 911 call.

This poor psychiatric patient, with no significant criminal record doesn’t like being confined and forcefully drugged against his will, tried to run for freedom when he was being transfered into a new psychiatric hospital. I think it’s safe to say that hes not happy with his “treatment”.
From Staff Reports | The News Observer
A mental patient briefly escaped from John Umstead Hospital in Butner on Monday as staff were moving him to a new psychiatric hospital nearby.
According to a police report, the patient was being loaded onto a bus with other patients being transferred to Central Regional Hospital, a new $130 million building less than a mile away.
The patient stated he didn’t want to go to the new hospital and took off running.

I wasn’t planning to post this because it shows complete stupidity from both the criminal justice and psychatry. Psychiatry is doing one heck of a fine job into controlling our criminal justice with this insanity plea crap that people can choose to take to escape justice and prison time. This case reminds me so much like the movie, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest (NOTE: SPOILER! SPOILER!)

with Jack Nicholson as Randle Patrick (R. P.) “Mac” McMurphy and Louise Fletcher as Nurse Mildred Ratched, the dictator who drove one of her patients to commit suicide. I don’t condone psychiatric medications to anyone but of all people, in her case she could use a couple of xanax or maybe some anti psychotics to help relax.

Is it because the gynecologist Dr. Joseph Roncaioli is severely depressed or is he depressed because he was convicted of manslaughter (surprise it wasn’t full fledge murder) and that he knows hes going to face prison time? I say he’s scared to death to face justice.

Nothing more infuriates me then hearing someone harming a child or putting a child at risk for health problems. A child less then 15 years old can’t speak or defend for themselves when it comes to medical decisions by their parents. A friend of mine, Jane Alexander, explained on her Youtube videos about how you can get out of a psychiatric hospital in a legal and rational fashion. She explains the habeas corpus act, an act where you can legally request court intervention appeal and have your time in court to prove to yourself that you’re not insane and that you don’t belong in the psychiatric hospital to the judge.

Obviously you can’t go in there cursing like a sailer and demanding to get released because it will not happen.
I was reading an article that I’m about to show to you below. This Psychiatrist named Thomas M. Peterson was accused of improperly prescribing medication to his 2 children patients. The medications that he was improperly prescribing were anti-psychotics. Go to my The Dangers of taking antipsychotics article to find out how dangerous Anti-Psychotics are. I can only speculate that the Anti-Psychotics that Tomas M. Peterson was giving these children were the prescription medication Risperdal, a now approved medication by the FDA to give to children.
He had his medical license taken away and now the state board of medical examiners are reinstating his medical license for some obvious reason.

I was watching the news with my father earlier tonight and I couldn’t help but to see this latest story about how psychiatry is trying to classify the excessive usage of an E- device, like Blackberry, I-phone, Email,SMS,etc as a mental illness.
Dr Jerald Block mentions the four symptoms: suffering from feelings of withdrawal when a computer cannot be accessed; an increased need for better equipment; need for more time to use it; and experiencing the negative repercussions of their addiction. that can indicate someone being an addicted to the cyberspace world.
Let’s go over this shall we?
-
suffering from feelings of withdrawal when a computer cannot be accessed
-
Sure when someone isn’t happy with their lifestyle of choice (depression) they will ultimately search for another another source like entertainment, like the computer for instance. People uses the Internet for variety of reasons, Some are for good reasons and some are for bad reasons.
-
an increased need for better equipment
-
need for more time to use it
-
After spending a lot of money on upgraded 3D graphics cards, a good hard drive, including faster processors and so on you’re obviously going to be wanting to spend more time to discover how your computer is. If you finally had the money to spend on a 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, wouldn’t you want to spend more time with your new toy? I think it would be insane to leave it in your garage untouched.
-
experiencing the negative repercussions of their addiction
Sure! If you choose to sit on the computer all day, nothing gets accomplished.
I wonder what the treatment for this new addition addiction? I get it! medication Drugs! Get more people hooked on psychiatric drugs so the pharmaceutical companies along with psychiatry can make more money off of fake illnesses.
